Who among you readers remember this cult classic from the 90's?? Based on the SNL skit from the insane minds of Mike Myers and Dana Carvey Comes Wayne's World. The story follows the antics of Wayne and Garth, who run a wacky talk show from Wayne's basement. They spotlight crazy inventions like the 'suck cut'. So what does it actually do? Well it sucks and it cuts. The inventor tries it on Garth and it works so well that it is also sucking his will to live. Their program becomes viral and attracts the attention of a studio executive, played by Rob Lowe. He wants to take Wayne's world to syndicate television, complete with sponsors. Complications arise when Wayne meets a girl Cassandra, played by Tia Carrera, who also catches Rob's eye. There is a hilarious scene where Wayne learns how to speak Cantonese, Cassandra's native language, but misuses some words to comedic effect. Also Wayne and Garth are not sell outs, and proceed to make fun of the sponsors, screwing up their chances to be picked up by the station. Oh well they were better off freewheeling from Wayne's basement anyway. Wayne ends up getting the girl in one of the ending.Yeah there were two endings!. This movie also featured the iconic headbanging scene to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, lingoes like 'schwing', 'We're not worthy', 'party on Wayne, party on Garth','I slipped' and the riff ' Wayne's World, Wayne's World, party time, excellent, riu, riu'. Definitely a must watch classic!
